Welcome to Hoghton Tower, Lancashire

Imagine a 16th Century Manor House high on a hill, visited by King James I, William Shakespeare, J.M.W. Turner and Charles Dickens. Imagine joining that illustrious company by taking your first steps forward into marriage and history.

HOGHTON TOWER IS QUITE SIMPLY UNIQUE, THE PERFECT LOCATION FOR YOUR SPECIAL DAY.

This Historic House is perfect for a Wedding Venue in Lancashire, a Wedding Reception or Civil Ceremony.
The Inner Courtyard provides an intimate setting for a musical quartet and canapé reception. The magnificent Banqueting Hall where James I knighted the loin of beef 'Sir Loin' is perfect for a 'Wedding Breakfast'. By day, the room enjoys natural light through four thousand panes of glass. By night, an open log fire and music from the Minstrels’ Gallery create a truly memorable experience. The dramatic King’s Hall is transformed into an elegant bar, coffee is served in a cosy ante room with impressive stone fireplace and club fender surround.

The Tudor Gardens, Wilderness Lawn and Rose Garden with ornate stone fountain are a photographer's dream. Clipped yews lead to the ramparts, castellated walls and fairytale turret with commanding views across Lancashire, the Lake District and North Wales.
