A new chapter begins!

Calling all eager witches and wizards! Embrace your imagination in our brand new immersive story telling adventure. This half term, enrol your little monsters in the Hoghton Tower School of Witchcraft & Wizardry to begin a new adventure. Our magical professors will teach you how to cast spells, brew exploding potions and practise broomstick racing. A spellbinding session full of mystery, magic and mischief awaits you!

Suitable for children age 6-10 years old. The activity is not suitable for children under 6. We regret that younger children are unable to spectate due to space restrictions and the content.

All children must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket at all times. Due to the space required for the activities, we can only allow a maximum of 1 adult per child.

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged, however, please ensure everyone wears warm layers underneath their costume and comfortable, warm and flat footwear e.g. trainers or boots, as the house is cold at this time of year and we will spend time in the underground passages, which may be wet.

Places are strictly limited so pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

If you have any questions about access, please see the Facilities and Access page on our website for more details.

The tearoom will be open 10am – 3pm for those with pre-booked tickets for the workshops. If you would like to take advantage of the children’s lunch package (£6.00), please pre-book to ensure availability. There will be sandwiches, cakes and drinks available for adults to purchase on the day. Please note that those attending a session beginning at 1pm will need to eat prior to their session as the tearoom will be closed at the end of the session.

Children’s Lunch Package: Cheese or ham sandwich, a carton of fruit juice, a packet of crisps, a sweet treat, and a piece of fruit.

Please include any dietary requirements at the time of booking. Although we take precautions, we are unable to guarantee that any item is free from cross-contamination from any allergen.

Please note the house will not be open to the public on these dates.

Refunds

All tickets are sold as non-refundable and non-transferrable, please check your tickets carefully and ensure that you can commit to the date and time before you complete your booking as regrettably, we are unable to accommodate any changes once your booking is finalised.

Please ensure that you arrive on time for your tour as you will be unable to join the tour once it has started and we will be unable to offer a refund.

If we have to cancel the event for any reason, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your ticket to an alternative session (subject to availability).

This is a fundraising event in aid of Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust (Registered Charity No. 508357). Thank you for your support in preserving and restoring this beautiful building and the grounds in which it stands.
