This is a fundraising event for Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust (Registered Charity Number: 508357). By attending this special event you are supporting the Trust to achieve its charitable objectives; to restore and preserve this unique piece of Lancashire’s history, and to share this historic gem with our visitors for generations to come. We continue in our work to preserve all records relating to the history of the tower and encourage historical research into the history of Hoghton and the County Palatine of Lancashire. We are passionate in our efforts to share the ever expanding and extensive knowledge base and ongoing research with the community, delivering this through our loyal group of expert volunteers and our educational programme for schools.

Dress Code: Black Tie

Timings:

Arrival for pre-dinner drinks from 6:30pm.

Seating for dinner is at 7:30pm.

Please arrange carriages for 11:00pm

Food & Drink:

You will be welcomed with a glass of prosecco or fruit juice on arrival.

This will be followed by a delicious three-course dinner and freshly brewed tea and coffee to finish.

Please choose one of our set menu options.

Standard Option Menu:

Starter:

Warm goats cheese tart with balsamic pearls and chili beetroot salad

Main course:

Feather blade of braised beef served with pumpkin pickled shallots, thyme and rosemary rosti and finished with black garlic and redcurrant jus

Dessert:

Lemon tart with sweetened cream, fresh berries and blackcurrant coulis

Vegetarian / Vegan / Gluten Free Option Menu:

Starter:

Melon Soup – Balls of melon with lime, mint, and warm madeleines

Main course:

Risotto – Wild mushrooms, kale and truffle oil

Dessert:

Vanilla cheesecake served with fresh berries and cherry gel

Please include any special dietary requirements at the time of booking. Please be aware that although we do take precautions to minimise the risk of any cross contamination, we are unable to guarantee that this will not occur.

Additional Drinks: Please pre-purchase table wine for your party during the booking process.

The bar will be open throughout the evening for you to purchase any additional drinks.

Other Useful Information:

Parking 

Please make your way up the drive towards the Tower where you will be met by our parking steward who will direct you to park on the tilting greens at either side of the drive.

Comfort

Whilst the fires will be lit, we would advise you to dress warmly for the evening as this historic building can feel chilly at times.

Access

As a Grade I listed historic site, Hoghton Tower does have some access restrictions, for further information see our Facilities & Access Information on our website.

Refunds

All tickets are sold as non-refundable and non-transferable. Please check your tickets carefully and ensure that you can commit to the date and time before you complete your booking, as regrettably, we are unable to accommodate any changes once your booking is finalised.

Every effort will be made to accommodate late arrivals, however, entry would need to be at an appropriate time so as not to disturb the performance and cannot be guaranteed. No refund will be due in this instance.

If we have to cancel the event for any reason, you will be offered a full refund.
