DIRECTIONS BY CAR
From M65 (5 minutes): Leave M65 at Junction 3 and follow the brown tourist signs.
From M6 Northbound (10 minutes): Leave at Junction 29 and join the M65 Eastbound. Leave M65 at Junction 3 and follow the brown tourist signs.
From M6 Southbound (10 minutes): Leave at Junction 30 and join M61. Leave M61 at Junction 9 and join M65 Eastbound. Leave M65 at Junction 3 and follow the brown tourist signs.
From M61 (7 minutes): Leave at Junction 9 and join M65 Eastbound. Leave M65 at Junction 3 and follow the brown tourist signs.
On arrival enjoy the view as you drive up the hill. Car parking is signposted.
TRAVELLING BY TRAIN
The nearest main line railway station is Preston (7.3 miles away, approximately 20-25 minute taxi ride). However, we are also close to the railway stations in Blackburn (6 miles away) and Chorley (8.1 miles away), both approximately a 15-20 minute taxi ride away.
TRAVELLING BY BUS
The 152 runs between Preston and Burnley via Blackburn and travels along the A675 at the bottom of the Hoghton Tower driveway. The nearest bus stop is Dover Lane. It is then approximately a 20 minute walk (0.8 miles) to the gatehouse at top of the driveway. Please be aware that the driveway, which is over 0.5 miles long, is on a steep incline and has an elevation gain of 122m (400ft).
